Motive Query - Advice Please

Tue Jul 18, 2006 6:59 am

Evening all,

Just popped this in the que, I really like it. What do you all think? Heat haze from the engines was a concern but I think its ok here.

Look forward to the feedback

Colin,

I think the jetwash is a problem here, it messes up the nose.

It's soft too. I think sharpening will make it grainy.

Hello Colin.

Before a close examination of the motive, my eye was drawn to quality issues, I am afraid. Just take a look at that wing - the edge is far from clear, due to the heat haze effect. The same is true of the rear of the horizontal stabiliser. So I think that will be enough to make the decision for the screeners easy.

But as you were asking about the motive - firstly, well done for looking for something a bit different. My personal opinion would be that the motive would be a problem too - I don't think it shows the aircraft in a 'flattering' position, and there are those factors like a half cropped engine cowling that could cause problems. But I do like the way you have used the compressed perspective in the shot and it looks like a place where you might be able to get some interesting shots.

All the best.

Morning guys,

Thanks for the responses, I was caught in two minds originally but I guess its not worth the space in the que. I have a few more of it close up so i'll give those a go.

Thanks again
