Lol, greatest thread ever
Well, here is mine a month ago:
After editing the picture above I decided it was time to clean my sensor. I also had an old 24mm lens with fungus in it and wanted that lens cleaned, so I considered that a good occasion to visit my local photo shop and have lens and camera cleaned (and have a sneak peak at the D200
). They cleaned the sensor and mirror from my D100 and I have to say, the result is brilliant. Not a single spot left. It costed me EUR 55 which I consider to be quite expensive for the work done.
They also told me that the dust was probably caused mainly by my old trusted 35-70 push pull zoom which I virtually use all the time. It "pumps" the dust to the sensor. Might be true or not but the longer I think about it, the more I think it can be true.
