Help With Rejection

Fri Aug 25, 2006 10:02 pm

For me this picture is a strange rejection
http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/...filename=20060825_N875RR_Jan12.jpg

I'm sure about the registration N875RR. Of course, it could be that something is wrong with my eyes
First time I got a reject -for info- with this nice comment
"N875RR_Jan12.jpg looks like N876RR?"
After a appeal and second upload another rejection -for info- with this comment: "appealed and rejected, what are you trying to prove here?"
I really appreciate the screeners work and I have not the intention to prove something. But a little answer could help a lot.     Please?

Thx in advance

Try that link again. It's a no-show from here...

Hi,

Link doesn't work, so I can't comment whether the reg is correct or not.

Quoting Dreamflight (Thread starter):
what are you trying to prove here?

should tell you that the screeners are quite sure that your reg is incorrect, therefore the 2nd rejection.

Not hard to understand imo  Smile

well, your link goes nowhere, so that is no help.

Reuploading a picture after appeal and rejection is frowned upon, hence the message you got. What else was your picture rejected for, besides info?

Chances are if it was rejected twice (one in the normal queue, once on appeal) there IS something wrong with it, simply reuploading is not the answer.

Jan,

looks like N875RR is correct as I cannot find any reference for N876RR. I would re-upload the shot...

Well the reg is N875RR. Considering the FAA has no record for N876RR.

I added this comment in my appeal message. So what else can I do.
A 3rd upload will certainly give me the same answer.

I wouldn't do that if I were you - I'm wondering if there is more to the rejection than the registration? You need some input from the screener, don't just upload it again, it'll annoy them.

LOL that reg is hard to read!

Certainley if the photog got the reg wrong it was not malicious or dumb. The thing is hard to read. I am not convinced that it is 876RR, but if someone knows, reupload it with a note to the screening team explaining why you are reuploading it.

Really hard to get the right reg here ....

It is definitely N875RR.

Look at the number in question - 6 should be curved at the top - but you can see the angle shape of a 5. Also, zoom in on the reg. You can see it is a 5 - no question about it...

But anyway, looks like Shep hit the nail on the head ....

It is N875RR

I can see why the photographer is a trifle annoyed. I can also see the screeners annoyance at having a picture reuploaded after a second rejection......but......

...If screeners are going to reject based on incorrect info should they not be checking the relevant database to make sure they are correct ? Lets face it, an N number reg check took me 20 seconds to perform and showed me that N876RR does not exist but N875RR is indeed allocated according to the picture.

Well, considering you can use their website to request/hold tail numbers it should be rather current. BTW I just requested N876RR and it is currently available. Give me a credit card number and it can be yours.  Wink

Anyone?

Going once...

Going twice...

Last chance...

No one?
