Where In The UK To Get The Best Camera Deals?

Sun Aug 27, 2006 10:21 pm

Hi All,

Asking on behalf of a good friend, who lives in the UK and is looking to get a 350D or even a 400D....when available! Big grin

Can someone recommend a good place to get the best deals, either high street, internet or anywhere else!

He checked Singapore and found that so far, the prices are not that different.

Cheers in advance!

Regards

Andrew

Hi Andy -

www.play.com do some reasonable deals on Nikon equipment, and may well do on Canon too. They are currently offering the 350D with 18-55mm kit lens for £479.99 delivered if that's of any interest?

I have used http://www.bristolcameras.co.uk/ on several occasions. Their prices are competitive and the mail order service is very good.

cheers

Andrew,

T4 cameras are good, warehouse express or park cameras.

I have used all of the above.

This is a rather good site for finding the cheapest price:

Andy,

Park Cameras are the place to shop in the UK in my view, excellent service and very competitive prices, when I got my 30D in fact they had the cheapest UK price; where abouts does he live out of interest?

Cheap camera equipment and the UK don't really mix! lol

But yeah, Park Cameras, T4 cameras, digital depot and "whore"house express do the best in the UK.

You might also like to tell him that "whore"house express do offeer 9 months intereste free credit subject to approval which is a very good scheme if you dont quite have the money for everything you want.

Cheers, Chris

Andy,

Is your friend likely to be buying more equipment in the future, is he the type that will try it and then want to buy better and better kit?

If so, then as I think most of us will agree, dealer service is of importance, not just a cheap price. There is a lot to be said for walking into your chosen shop and being treated very well IMHO.

Cheers,
Ian.
