Another Category Question/rejection

Mon Aug 28, 2006 12:11 am

I just got this picture rejected for bad category.

http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/...in?filename=20060827_DSC_0115a.jpg

BTW it also got rejected for softness (witch i am trying to fix). Should i have checked something special since this is the first picture of this aircraft in DY colours (it is a standard DY livery)? I am pretty sure i checked the boxes i usually check, but have never got rejected for category before.

Maybe it's considered a non-standard livery because there isn't a famous Norwegian on the tail?

Hi
It´s soft, indeed. Regarding category I can guess that it might have been rejected because the 'Norwegian Air Shuttle' titles were not painted on the aircraft. Maybe it should have been selected as 'Untitled (Norwegian Air Shuttle)'.
My humble opinion.

Cheers!

Quoting DYflyer (Thread starter):
bad category

Quoting DYflyer (Thread starter):
rejected for softness

Only those 2 rejections?
When you fix the softness get also rid of the dustspots, rotate it counterclockwise and take care you dont miss any borders. The rejected one has a small white border in the upper left corner. Then the photos has much more chances of being accepted into the database. I hope this helps.
No idea about the category though, sorry.

With only 11 out of 20 planes having a picture on the tail is this a non-standard livery? This seems to be the new livery they are going with. All new planes get this livery. Also LN-KKI have had the picture removed.

DY does not have the titles on their planes. Just "norwegian.no" on the front and on the tail. Norwegian Air Shuttle is only used in official papers, since that was the name the company got started under. The name commonly used today is just Norwegian.

Thanks for the input. It was a little late when i first uploaded the picture. The dustspots and rotation have been fixed. I missed the border though. I retrospective i have to admit it should have a quality rejection too.

Any crews here who might give me a hint about what i did wrong? I have edited the picture again, but obviously it is no point in uploading it again if it is going to get another bad category rejection.

Look up the white tails in the database and hit Cross data search. You will find that some have been uploaded as hybrids. If you don't agree with that, appeal the rejection and explain.
