Too Artsy+ What About The Contrast?

Fri Sep 22, 2006 1:06 am

Hello

As my Acceptance Ratio is getting a bit better, I dont want to push the limits too hard. What about this shot, what is wrong?

Thx vm for the advice ...

Robin,

I like it, perhaps a tad over contrasted.

Cannot comment on the suitability to the site though.

Hi Robin,

Good angle, but unfortunately the glare on the stabilizer ruins it for me.

Cheers,

Hi Robin,

interesting angle indeed but I have to say that the glare is a bit too much as well.

Hi Robin,

Overall a nice shot from an interesting and difficult angle, but I can see an overall softness/contrast problem, in addition to the big glare on the stabilizer. Unfortunately I do not see a lot of chances for an acceptance, more personal collection   .

Just my personal opinion - hope to help.

Btw, happy birthday Steven "Redfox"    !

Hi Robin

I like the shot very much, but I don´t know, regarding motiv, if it can make it. I think the overall quality is fine, except for the fin. I see it a little hazy.
The intense glare might also kill the shot, but I don´t think it might be the main issue here.
Good job anyway. I love how you can see the sunlight also passing through the engines.  bigthumbsup
Cheers!

Robin.

Firstly, my congratulations on being prepared to push those boundaries - things cannot develop without people being confident enough to do that.

I must say I like this photograph, but I would be anxious that the glare from the stabiliser is just too much for the screeners. The rear edges of the wings also might appear to some a bit heat hazed. But if you continue to feel brave, beware a few small 'dirt' spots above the No. 1 engine (far left).

Cheers.

A very nice picture but probably one for the personal collections. The softness on the underside does it in for me. Maybe some selective mask sharpening might help it out a little bit. I really love how you can see the light coming through all four engines, as well as the reflection of the gear doors.

Good job on the photo anyways! I like the motive, so maybe a few more tries at that angle would work!

Me likes it!!!!  thumbsup

But, if I must add something, it has to be that I find too much of the pic's "weight", too far down. Almost impossible to fix that if you want to keep the whole fin in there, and yet not get caught out with a "bad distance"-rejection, which would be the case if you centered the fuselage more.

Anyway,....I like it! Let's just leave it at that!  Wink
In thrust I trust.

Thx vm Paul for the nice words, but I have to admit that there are people here who try to push much harder ....

OK! I ll try to take some hints into a new Rework and will put it into the Q again, if it gets rejected - too bad. We will see then ... , at least I know it is a boardercase anyway ....

Thx vm for all your replies ....
