Would This Be Rejected For Motive?

Fri Sep 22, 2006 3:47 am

Pretty straightforward question, I got a pic of this FedEx 727 taxiing on the south side of LAX as it passed by Imperial Hill, and I'm wondering if all the buildings and whatnot in the foreground would constitute a "motive" rejection even though they aren't blocking the aircraft...

Thanks for your help!

Hi San747,

I think so. Motiv rejection includes the following item.

Photos with distracting or obstructing objects in the foreground (this is especially true for gate shots which are very difficult to get accepted due to their common nature and the large amount of equipment which usually surrounds the aircraft). Any equipment or objects blocking parts of the aircraft will result in a motive rejection.

I think the buidings look quite distracting even they're not obstructing the plane.

My first thoughts are that there is a lot of heat haze, colour imbalance and the photo is not level. Motive is the last thing I would worry about.  Sad

Yes, way too much clutter.

Hi San747,

Sorry, but I have to agree with Ian on this one, and additionally the foreground is really distracting  boggled , so to me this is a high-rejection-risk one.
Just sit back, relax and have a glass of Merlot...enjoy your life!
