Looking For Cologne/Bonn Photog's...

Mon Sep 25, 2006 10:30 pm

Any Cologne/Bonn regulars out there willing to help me?

I'm flying HLX from MAN/CGN on Monday 6th November and will be at Cologne airport all day on Tuesday 7th November. I've heard the terrace is very good if they're using the 'right' runway, however if they are taking-off/landing the other way I hear it's a nightmare. Any further info/help appreciated.

Thanks,

Karl

Hi Karl,

During your visit on the terrace you need a small step. When the landings are on 14L you will have the best action shots.
For further info please check this website

Enjoy your stay !  Smile

Quoting JakTrax (Thread starter):

It's not really a 'nightmare' as most of the stuff (bar some Germanwings and LH planes) will taxi past the terrace regardless of what runway is in use.

When 14L is in use, you can take some nice shots of landing aircraft if you've got a long lens.

Nice pics - are they all from the viewing deck? Did you need ladders for those?

Yes, at least a three-step ladder is needed to get over the glass at the viewing deck.
