Will This Be Considered Double?

Thu Sep 28, 2006 9:03 pm

Hi just want to get a view from screening team about the following 2 pictures.

If I upload both of them, will they be considered as double? Understand both are takeoff but you see their different perspective.

Image are reduced quality

I've seen a few occasions there are 2 shots allowed recently, so i am unsure there is rules change. Sometimes i like both shots and really would like to upload both with success  Smile

Well Sam, if you can't make up your mind, upload the 2nd one; much cooler shot and a nice change from the "usual" runway background!
Both shots are pretty nice though  Wink

Yes as only a few seconds apart. But I like the 2nd shot.

While I agree that the background in the second shot is indeed more spectacular and interesting I find the reflection on the aircraft quite disturbing. And it's not only a small reflection, but running over the whole fuselage. I would perhaps upload the first one if I was able to produce such great images!  Smile

Nevertheless, both pictures are absolutely stunning!

I really like the first shot, it offers alot more perspective than the second and doesn't have the awful glare that's evident in the climb out shot.

The colours and contrast in shot one blow shot two away. The dull and lifeless water in shot two does nothing to compliment the awesome Air Tahiti Nui livery.

Fine work Sam, fine work.

I'd go with the first one. I like how the colorful fuselage stands out from the grey runway and green grass. And as others have mentioned, it doesn't have the distracting reflection. Either way, great shots!  bigthumbsup

Humbler pictures, same question. Same aircraft (the closest one in the first shot), shot the same day. Different enough?

Well Peter, I'd say that would be a double rejection as it's a preserved a/c so the sequence - if you wanna call it that way - is exactly the same but shot from another angle.
And I don't like the 2nd shot anyway  Wink the grey background ruins it for me.

Well, the thing is that there are three preserved aircraft of which I have a second photo, shot on the same day, in the database. I don't think these were accepted in error, so it seems to be acceptable sometimes. Admittedly, in these cases the difference in angle was greater.

When I started editing this Il-28 shot I didn't realize that it was the same a/c I already had in the db. I'm happy to pull it if it's felt to be against the rules or even the ethics of the site, but I could do with some clarification.

I ain't a screener but I see differences in motive, composition of 2 photos. the one accepted in DB don't show the front nose of Il28. I hope they make it.  Smile

Thanks for the update Peter, though I still don't like it. Couldn't you have painted the sky blue!? Big grin

Thierry, I like the Il-28 so much. Hey, even Sam likes it even though it's military!
