Hows This For Cheek...

Wed Nov 01, 2006 11:22 pm

got an email that went a little something like this...

Hi Montague

My name is and my church is looking at buying a private Jet

Would you be able to donate the use of your photo to be used for a website / promotional material

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Best Regards

now..if your church can afford a private jet i reckon they can afford a pic, especially if it's the G550 pic that he used to contact me. I declined the offer pretty much saying what i've just written here.

You should have asked for some divine blessing in return Wink

Sad that donations are used for things like this.

I got the exact same email. I am thinking that some one is using the church thing to get some free pictures.

It amazes me the amount of companies that have a budget for glossy brochures and other self-promoting material but yet they never seem to have the budget for the pictures to go inside them.  Yeah sure

It also could be just a scam to grab email addresses...

I wouldn't trust em one bit.

Let me get this straight: A church which is supposed to be a charitable organization themselves is instead spending their moneys on private accomodation (very expensive private accomodation i might add), and asking you to donate to them?

I think that church needs to re-read their book a bit.
And all at once the crowd begins to sing: Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same
