Two Shots With New L Glass

Sun Nov 12, 2006 5:37 pm

Hi Guys

I got my EF 70-200 f/2.8L the other week, and I went out to the airport yesterday. There weren't many aircraft around, but I got a couple of shots of Aircraft on the ground.

I'd like your opinions on these two shots:

Since no-one else has posted! They look ok to me  thumbsup  There's an odd jaggied line here and their, but nothing I'd say is too prominent.

Good luck,

Darren

First looks a little too high in frame, has wheels cut off (maybe motiv), and is soft.

Second one is soft.

To my eye, they look like they were taken with an extender, did you use your 1.4x for them?

Thanks for the comment Darren.

David, no extender with these. I cant see the grass as a problem (no lawn mower available :P) I'm going to leave them in the queue and see what happens.

Grass should not be a problem on them. The Islander feels slightly low in the frame, maybe a tad soft too.

But good ones. Leave and see!

Thanks Martin! That Islander (OBJ (Old Bucket of Junk as it is sometimes called)) is the aircraft that I did my tandem out of. I'm gonna leave them. How long does it usually take for a shot to go through the queue nowadays?

A little less than a week.

OK, hope it will at least not get any motiv rejection. But still, on my screen they are soft.

Lucky bugger!!!! It looked great on telly. Never moved the whole time it was on. I'm going next year, rain hail or shine. I'm kicking myself I didn't go now  Sad

Look forward to the pics. I can't wait to see some from the event.
