Fixed Level Portion, Questioning Motiv Rejection

Sat Nov 18, 2006 9:37 am

This shot was in screening for a VERY short time prior to being rejected this afternoon. Not complaining as it was unlevel (well, the buildings in the background were on point in other pics but they arent visible so bad on me for that aspect)

Now for the motiv rejection. Thoughts? Screener input would be great.

Thanks Kas,  Smile

Could this, less dramatic shot stand a better chance?

Well it could but why would you when the more dramatic one is heaps cooler?!!

Great shot Chad, I've never seen anything like that before.

One great example of where backlighting actually works really well!

Well done, hope it gets in one way or another.

WOW. That's an incredible shot Chad. I'd put money on it getting Top of the Day if it gets accepted! I hope the screeners let this one through. Good luck!

Now I'm trying to figure out what it is they're doing. Is it some sort of training for low visibility take-offs? Or a low-tech heli-wash system? Big grin

Both of the photos are awesome shots. Once again rare military shots get rejected for some reason or another. Whoever rejected it for motive should be seriously counseled and repremanded! rotfl

Superb shot once again Chad. A real shame it was rejected. More pics like this are needed!

PS. Hope your hangover isn't too bad in the morning and hope to meet up with you at LAX on Sunday

Chad,

More stunning work from you, you've been a real asset on this site over the last lot of months!

I love the first shot, the tighter crop. Its a real shame it got rejected. Get it level and get it back in the que!

Thanks for rhe supporting comments all. I noted a rather peculiar remark on the acceptance email:

The following photos were added to the database with warnings:
(Please see below)
- UH17321773NZY09NOV06-1.jpg (USA - Army Bell UH-1H Iroquois (205))
Warnings:
The photos were either of low esthetic qualities (bad angle,
included window reflections, pictured just a part of an aircraft,
out of focus or similar), pictured an aircraft far in the distance
or did not picture an aircraft at all. You will also get this
warning if your camera displays the date in the lower right corner.
If so, please disable that feature.

Oh yeah, now that you point it out... that's not an aircraft, it's an alien spaceship!!!  duck
