TIA

Hi Gerado,
I would say it was the "clutter" at the bottom of the photo that has led to the rejection.

I would say you're wrong...

I think it's a great shot. Just another nit-picky rejection IMO. The only thing I can figure is maybe a tad soft and possibly vertical centering? Possibly a slightly tighter crop?

Not this time in my eyes...

Gerardo, nice shot, but the tail on the aircraft either looks grainy or blurry from here. Just doesn't look right. Some parts look a little soft also, like the left landing gear (looking at the pic).

Clutter was not a problem otherwise it would have caused the rejection. Clutter does not cause Quality rejections.

I agree with Eadster on the grainy/soft tail. Grain seems to be an issue on this one.
When that's said; It's a bl**dy nice pic and exactly the kind I like!!  Wink

Well it nice to see the old boys can get a quality rejection Big grin The two issues for me are the slight lack of contrast and saturation.

The three 'grey' bars are the original.

Good luck,

Jid

Jid, some old boys get tons of quality rejections, as for example:
http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/r...126_b744_sq_9v-smv_061112_3800.jpg
http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/r...126_a332_lx_hb-iqh_061112_3816.jpg

Thanks for the hints so far. I try to get more saturation. As the grain: as this comes mainly from the water spray, I guess, it's back to "sunny-weather-side-on-shots"

EDIT: then again, this one has been accepted and got some 2000+ hits today

I don't see it having a better quality, than the rejected one.

Hi Gerry

I ve also got tons of interesting rwy16 departures from the recent weekends. All the same problem, if weather is not totally Fog and Rain/Water -Free its extremly difficult to get good quality outcome. I will keep them for the personal collection and not going to upload, Qulaitybar is very high and I dont want to risk my lately 80% acceptance ratio .... , hope to see u around again ....

Gerardo,

The accepted Delta shot seems to have better depth of field and sharpness compared to your rejected pics......

......and it make me feel a whole lot better knowing that the likes of you get rejections here as well.  Wink

The likes of me? Hate to burst your bubble, but I'm somwhere in the 45% acceptance ratio   Hope, you are doing better!

But, if the acceptance rate would be important for me, I probably wouldn't upload anything else, than boring side on shots taken on sunny days. Anyway, I uploaded a new version of it, let's wait and see .... http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/b...ady/b763_aa_n393an_061112_3718.jpg

Robin: hope to see you as well in the coming night photo season
