Opinions On What's The Best Crop, Please

Wed Nov 29, 2006 3:46 am

I've got this two pics:

Big version: Width: 500 Height: 333 File size: 120kb

Big version: Width: 1000 Height: 685 File size: 503kb

I wonder what's the best crop. IMO, the second one is best. Both engines are cut, but you're into the action. The first one shows a lot of fuselage and it gives it a "swan" style.
What do you think?
BTW, pics aren't processed; only camera download and resizing
Many thanks

I think both would go down to quality and motive. Maybe not in that order. The first will also fail due to level.

I couldn't agree more.
I'll have more chances of taking pics like these. But now, all I want to know is what you photogs think is the best point of shooting, a closer or a wider one? I can't decide for myself  scratchchin
Thanks anyway for your comment, I'll take note of it.

Thanks for the feedback.

the whole plane

Is a breathtaking shoot indeed, but I wanted to show the beacon light reflexing on wet tarmac. White, black and red only. If I show the whole plane, the effect won't be the same; and if I wait till twilight, the effect will dissapear.

Big version: Width: 500 Height: 330 File size: 177kb

Once again, the image is only an example of what I mean. I posted it knowing it's full of NOA issues.
