"Double" Rejection

Mon Dec 04, 2006 7:47 am

Hi all,
I've recently had this "double" rejection:

My other photo of the same helicopter is this one:

of the same day. Me thinks it is a different view of the same aircraft, appart from the fact that this time it is shooting a flare.
What are your views.
Ander

Yes, I know I should have cheated and put a different day, but...  Wink

Hi Ander,

That's a pity! Personally, I prefer the one shooting the flare!

Quoting TimdeGroot (Reply 1):

They are indeed flying and have almost identical attitude.

I have a similar question: I have this one in the queue:

http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/b...061011_CRW_6990_RT8_WVB_1200px.jpg

... and I have already a shot (from a different angle of about 45 degrees) accepted, but they are both static shots (the aircraft is preserved, so it does not fly anymore...  Sad ) and it was shot on the same day (rare opportunity to get into the base). Would this be allowed or would it also be called NOA_Double?

Thanks for any clarification,

Regards,

Walter

These two were accepted. I guess it might be borderline though.

Hmm one accepted into the DB May 2005 and the other October 2006. Only 5 total in DB and yes you were lucky Peter, rarity saved the day.

That's why I was asking the question...

Hi Colin,

It's probably smarter not to upload these together, but on the other hand the upload date shouldn't really matter , right?

Should have uploaded the one with the flare first! Much more interesting shot I think!

Unlucky Ander, i can see where they are coming from though.

LOVE the shot tho, i think catching the flare really adds something to the image.

I keep seeing your shots and am amazed at the quality of them, keep them coming!

The one with the flare seems a lot more interesting shot. Maybe you could ask the screeners to remove the other one and replace it with the one with the flare?

BTW, I have a shot in the database of a taxiing aircraft. Would a photo of the same airplane on the same day taking off count as a double?

I believe it doesn´t, because the 'double' rejection applies for two shots on a same sequence, or a two very similar situations on a same day. I think that your case won´t qualify for a double rejection. What you can do is post the photos in question so we can see them and discuss about them.  yes

Cheers!

Then I guess it won´t be rejected for double. See that you show the other side of the a/c, and also the action is different (Takeoff vs. taxiing).
One comment appart, on the second shot the guy is not flying! It must have been an instant that the guy left the controls! Very interesting pic.  Wink
Good luck with it.

Cheers!

Thanks for comments, Lanas. I think, I'll give it a go.
