Whats your idea? If you mean its bad for DB - its rather obvious. Or you mean its not good to be discussed it on the forum? Why than?

Fyodor,

Relax man or you are not going to get anywhere here Big grin ! Viv is a very respected member, and he only told you that the picture is not for A.net...nothing to get excited about.

I realize that English is not your mother language (mine neither), but you need to carefully review your comments, as they usually sound very harsh.

Yes, English is not my language. Thats true. And it is often problem for Russians - we construct phrases on the other manner. Nothing offencive or harsh was included in my question, at least as I planned. The only thing - might be little bit of surprise. And interest - why aviation photographers can't exchange couple of clouds shots? Forgive me if it sounds harsh again. Big grin

That you would not succeed in uploading it here.

Thanks! Thats what I told about. I mostly thought about air-to-clouds shots, but this even wider.

Hi all,

Essentially, the Russian language uses very different means of expressing politeness than English. What sounds perfectly polite in Russian, comes across very rude when translated directly into English. This is why I often see that the posts by my Russian friends often seem to annoy and even offend the readers. Trust me, these guys don't mean to sound rude.

In linguistics, there is the concept of "speech etiquette". I may be mistaken about the term, linguistics is not exactly my area. What I mean to say, the speech etiquette differs in different languages. It's more uniform in the Western European languages, maybe because the European nations have lived close together and have had to interact a lot more.

Even though basic English is not so hard to learn, the speech etiquette takes a lot of practice to master. Most Russian photographers represented on this site don't really have the opportunity to practice their English on every day basis, if at all. That's why they may sometimes have these "politeness problems"

Now, about the pictures... Very nice shots, guys.

As for a plane in the picture... There are quite a few airport building shots in the DB that don't have any part of a plane in them, either. At least, these two shots do suggest that there is an airplane behind them  Smile . I'm not really trying to make a point here, it's just a thought  Smile .

Cheers,
Andrei
