How Do I Go About Photography At Kbtr?

Sat Dec 30, 2006 3:13 am

Do I just start standing near the fences, across the streets, or do I try to contact someone and find out if there is a designated spot to take pictures, or let them know my intentions? There is some good parking lots within 100 yards of the 13-31 approach that is at a church I just dont want to start off on a bad foot with them. I kind of know a couple of the ARFF/Police that work there, or at least can get a friend to contact them.

Sometimes it's better to ask forgiveness then for permission.

Sometimes.  Wink

I have been researching a good bit and it seems that if you are legally in a public place (ie have not been asked to move) you can take pictures of whatever you want. The few exceptions seem could be military institutions, places where people expect privacy (ie not through your neighbors window), to misrepresent someone(photoshop a porn star on someone), and for gain( running over and taking a photo of a start to print on an ad that they endorse your product).

The TSA also said it is A-OK according to alot of articles I found on the USAtoday website. What are anyones stories about going through such a process. Thanks
