Screening Advice...to Leave In Queue Or Not?

Sat Dec 30, 2006 5:26 am

Hey, guys!

Have taken a break from uploading. I took someone's advice and edited shots without uploading. I let them sit in my hard drive until today, when I went back and looked at my edits to see if I thought they were still worthy of uploads.

The first one I'm a little unsure as to the quality. I fear I may have used too much shadow/highlight, thanks to the sun glare along the fuselage.

This one I'm confident in for all aspect, but you never know nowadays.

Any constructive criticisms? Let me know, as I'm always here to learn!

I'm not so sure about the EasyJet, it looks ok at first glance. Maybe overexposed a bit?

The Continental seems to be not level (CW rotation needed) and also has some quality issues.

The first one looks a bit low in the frame and cropped too tightly near the nose and tail.

The second one again looks cropped too tightly at the nose and tail, needs some CW rotation IMO and problems with the colour / contrast.

Thanks for the advice, guys.

I've re-done the Continental shot. Is this any better?

I'll do the other one tomorrow morning and post it.

I'm not totally sure if this is enough to warrant a rejection, but the CO titles on the 767 appear a bit jagged to me. Anyone else feel the same way?

Ok 9V. Thanks so much for your advice. Are the colors any better here? If not, would you be willing to give them both a go if I send you the originals?

And how's this EasyJet one with a modified crop and some more Shadow/Highlight?

Antonis,

I've had a look at both the originals. As you say yourself the exposure was off. The whites of the fuselage is too bright on both photos so I don't think either are good enough to be accepted here. Nice try though, better luck next time.  Smile

Thanks again for your help, 9V. I hope to get out to EWR next week and I'll make sure my settings are correct, haha. Maybe I'll get some good ones.
