Is This Centered Correctly?

Tue Jan 16, 2007 7:36 pm

I can't tell. It seems a bit off to me...like the aircraft is too high in the frame. However, lowering the aircraft increases a lot of "dead" space in the upper left hand corner. What do you think?

And while we're at it, anything else that can be changed/fixed? Thanks.

Centering looks fine to me ... Only other issue, there are slight jaggies on the port wing. Apart from that it looks good.

Too high in the frame. I'd say the quality is iffy as well.

Cannot really "feel" the plane there, due to the wierd angle...
Concerning the center I see it too low...

Good luck

Well, it seems to be a 50/50 split here. Must be a matter of opinion. I think I will leave it in the queue and see if I get a heads or tails from the screeners.

Thanks again.  bigthumbsup

I just had a similar angle shot rejected for centered (among others) with a note saying "please center the entire A/C and not just the fuselage"

If you want to take that into consideration.

yes that's a.nets preferred way of centering. It goes against traditional photography rules though.

That is the method I normally follow, but this angle is a bit trickier than others. The last time I tried to upload from a similar angle, it was of the JAL 744 that visited SAN last spring. I followed my usual method of ensuring the entire aircraft is centered but it got rejected because of centering. I figured it was because lowering it left too much space in the top corner.

I think I will leave it and see what happens. Heck, if Jeff is right, then the centering issue may be a moot point.  Wink
