Album On Ruissian Types.

Fri Jan 19, 2007 7:21 am

Hi mates,

Just finished with the first stage of the new album:
http://www.airliners.net/search/phot...t+of+each+one&album_creator=FYODOR

The idea was to form something like DB for aircrafts types and major modifications. For evident reasons I've started from Russian planes and made the list of major ones. So - just enjoy Russian aviation by types.

Don't be surprised if you'll miss Antonov - it will definitely appear but a bit later - it is now Ukrainian manufacture but yes - history is common and it is also our planes.  Wink

If you see I missed something - you help will be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Also, need an advise - as 'customers' - do you think it is better to leave it as Russian album only or as I think before - to continue with the rest of major planes and manufactorers? Idea was to have two alphabets - first for Russia, second - for the rest of the world. But what funs of A&B will say if they'll see their favourite planes after say Il-114?  Wink Big grin Might be another album?

Regards,

F.

FYODOR, I'd say, just leave it Russian. You've got some expertise in the Russian types, and it's a pretty obscure area for many other photographers. Just lately, there was a question on the Russian military types on the forum - it seems that plenty of people take photos of Russian planes, and then they are not sure how to upload them. If you start mixing in Western types, the Russian ones will soon be lost among them. Besides, information on Western types and modifications is quite easily accessible anyway.

Sounds reasonable. Might be I'll make two Albums - for western airplanes a bit later. So in couple of days I'll add Atonov.

I'll need to add more modifications then...  scratchchin  At the beginning I just wanted to give a brief overview of how tha major types looks like.

Well, they are not planes actualy  Wink but - yes - I thought about as well. But I know much less about helicopters - very common knowlege. But you might be right - I'll think about collection for helicopters.

One more album on Russia - just best (as I think) shots:

http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?album=9740

Three major principles:
- in general based on chronological order - oldest photos are latest (not obligatory)
- Russia should be presented at least by location or type
- photo should be untypical - beauty or extraordinarity is required

Enjoy

F.

Friends,

Soom I'm going to Part III of the album - European planes. Considering my previous experience and understanding that many of you know the item better I'd like to ask you to fix the list of relevant types with the main requirement - the type's modifications must be rather distinguished from each other.

Your assistance with comments will be appreciated.

Regards,

Fyodor
