UPDATE: Canon 20D And Cold Weather

Mon Jan 29, 2007 10:02 am

Sorry mark couldn't find your older thread, but as you could probably tell by pecking away at the queue tonight you probably came across my shots from GFK and that remended me to let you know that that night it was probably somewhere between 0 and +10F, not the extremist of colds, but combined with the windchill caused by a 25mph northwesterly wind and a light snow falling, it was shutterfinger-numbingly cold.

Camera performed great, no malfunctions and overall performance comparable to warm weather. The camera was exposed to the conditions for no more than I'd say 10 to 15 minutes between good night lighting to when Line started getting busy hangaring the aircraft/my shutter finger fell off.

Hope that helps.
