Any comments?

I didn't know digital manipulation was allowed for this contest, funny contrails shadow on the lake, also what kind of plane is that? funny missing bird and "S" type of contrail...

Hmmmmmmmm,

The lake shot is difficult to tell. I would say 767 or 777. The wings look proportionally large compared to the fuselage, like a T7, but it seems a bit "stumpy", like a 767.

Interesting to hear other people's thoughts.

Regards,

Tim.

who or what is a EUROCONTROL  Smile

We need to organize another disposable camera photo contest.

Hmmmmm. I bet we could come up with a pretty kick ass prize for the winner.

2nd one is even dirty, did you see the dustspot above the aircraft..just in front of the leading bird.

Otherwise they look fine. Not manipulated in any way, showing what photography is all about  liar

I like the 2nd one... Manipulated of course, but very nice idea.

Either that or those are some huge birds. Bit like Naomi Campbell....

Yes, as for motive and the actual composition then I love it, but if you're going to go to that degree of photo manipulation, you could at least remove the dust spots!

In the first image the contrails are white, as far as I know shadows are not supposed to be white, they can have different intensities but not white.

Anyway, what bothers me is that I did (and suppose dozens of others) my best to make a photography and then I see that they were accepting manipulated images, this is not photography, maybe graphics design or whatever but is not a result of the effort in the field, it reveals a nice imagination and I agree the two first images are great ideas but are not photographies. So this leads me to think were are we going with these so called "photo competitions"...

Bit like the cover of Newsweek (IIRC) that had a AA jet taking off into a blue sky, peppered with dust.
