Sharpening Help!

I had this picture rejected, I just started using Photoshop so i need some help from someone with good editing skills to sharpen this image as it was rejected for being too soft. Thanks for your Help.

The cockpit looks really soft - might not be salvageable. I hope one of the more experienced guys can help you out...

What was the camera and the lens if you don't mind me asking?

Camera was Canon 350D and lens was a cheap little Sigma 70-300 DG.

Okay, one question. Have you applied any sharpening to the photo you posted?

Simple answer, from the drop down menu of Filter in Photoshop, choose Sharpen. You can either do the defualt Sharpen once or play around the Unsharp Mask till you get the results you desire.
