Saw Natural Metal Finish DC-3

Sat Apr 07, 2007 11:02 am

Hey guys, I live in Sacramento, CA, just saw an absolutely beautiful natural metal highly polished finish DC-3, with U.S. Army painted under the wings, fly overhead not once but twice! Is there something going on this weekend, I would love to get some pics of that baby!

ciao

I must admit that these are absolute classics... the silver metal finish looks stunning on these birds. And with a nice sunrise or sunset they make for a beautiful photo.

I would like to see some shots of this US Army one!
It's a beautiful night to fly like a phoenix...

Just out of curiosity, do any of those planes have 'U.S. Army' painted under the wings?

I checked around, there's an airshow at Frazier Lake, in Hollister, but that seems to be a good distance away. Otherwise, the California Capital Airshow isn't until June, so...sorry, no idea.
