Which Seat For Photo's: Jet2 737-33A

Sat Apr 28, 2007 9:14 pm

I'm just after a bit of advice if anyone can help on this one. I'm flying from Blackpool to Malaga in a few weeks and want to select my seat so I can try and get some nice photo's on take off. I'll be flying with Jet2.com on one of their 737-33A's, G-CELJ seems to operate most of the flights. Fingers crossed for a sunny morning departing on runway 28. I want to try and get a shot of the engine/wing with Blackpool Tower in the backbround as we climb out over the beach. The big question is, which seat to choose. I need an 'F' seat to give me a window on the starboard side. Rows 7/8 are already booked so that leaves row 6 or 9. Which one should I go for, seat 6F or 9F? Will row 9 have too much wing in it or is row 6 too far forward?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Darren

Darren,
I have no idea what the config of Jet2 737's are but most 737-300 have a window missing at row 6-7-8 so I would call and ask.
This caught me out once flying across the Rockies with UA, was quite excited by a daylight flight with a forward window seat, only to discover that there was no window!

Cheers
If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!

Thanks for that. Looking at photo's of the aircraft, there are windows on rows 6/7/8. This is the aircraft likely to be operating my flights:

There is a window missing at the '2' with the look of it. I was thinking of a seat at around 't'.

Thanks,

I've taken the plunge and booked seat 6F for both flights. With any luck, it'll be a crisp summers morning with winds from the west.
