Is The Bird A Problem In This Picture?

Mon Apr 30, 2007 10:36 pm

Hello!

I just uploaded this picture, but I am not sure if the bird makes it a motiv rejection?

What are your opinions?

Cheers

IMHO, the Gate is worse then the bird. The bird is still VERY distracting so that may kill it too.

I think the bird is an added bonus in this photo. Natures version of a flying machine and mans! The foreground clutter kills it for me more than the bird. Still a nice shot though.

The bird is fine. The stuff in the foreground may kill the shot.

The gate is very distracting, nice catch with the bird though. Something for the personal collection  Wink

Thank you!

I didn't think about the gate yet and removed it from the queue (Sadly because I liked it....)

But I need another opinion
What do you think, will these both shots make it?

Hey Bjoern,
nice shots, but they have kind of a yellowish colorcast, at least on my monitor....
Otherwise very nice pictures!

Yep and to me they look grainy, and oversharpened.

I think the sharpening is ok considering the over sharpen rejections I've had lately. And mine were sharper than that.

If anything the Turkish shot is slightly soft.

Look at the background on both shots. Its quite visible there.
