My Latest Rejections

Fri Jun 15, 2007 9:32 am

Last time, it got rejected only for having a dust spot. Now, it gets rejected for:
quality
contrast
oversharpened

Last time, it got rejected for being distant so I cropped it a bit, and now it gets rejected:
quality
dirty
contrast

Last time, it got rejected for being oversharpened, now it get rejected for "soft"

If I sharpen it more, it will be oversharpened.

Are any of them re-editable?
Thanks

Hi Calfo,

Not bad photographs at all.

The first one seems overexposed on the top of the fuselage, something which is always difficult to achieve judging by the light and the fact that its white! Quality actually looks fine to me, but I also think its a bit low in the frame. If you can correct those issue it should be in with a chance.

The second seems blurry to me, just not quite sharp enough, though ita a nice motive. Also a little low in the frame too.

The last shot could just do with that little extra sharpening.

Good luck

Regards
Colin

Hi Douglas

First shot is indeed overexposed, as Colin said, but I also see it a bit jagged on the tail (black and red lines), horizontal stabilizers and wingtip flaps. I don´t know where the contrast rejection comes from. Maybe a bit too much contrast? I can´t figure it out. Vertical centering looks fine to me (too much asphalt if not, IMO).
Second shot is a bit blurry and lacks contrast as well. Looks like you´re trying to force the distance issue too much and you lost some quality there. I couldn´t find any dust spots, but with a pass of the equalizing tool you´ll surely see it/them.
Third shot looks pretty OK to me. There are already some jagged areas (registration and left wing), so be careful if you sharpen it more.

Good luck with them. Hope it helps.  bigthumbsup

Cheers

The first two shots are over-exposed. The KingAir is a great shot indeed. I've done a quick fix, apart from the Dust spot right at the top of the image:

Big version: Width: 1024 Height: 683 File size: 446kb

The 3rd looks like its a tad soft.

Thanks a lot Eadster!

The second one is soft because it was shot at 1/80th hand held! I was fooling around with my settings and suddenly, this one came and I didn't have time to change back.

I put the last one in the queue with one more pass of USM.
