Would This Be Rejected For Motiv?

Mon Jun 18, 2007 1:01 pm

Hey,

Would this picture be rejected for motive because a small portion of the wheel is covered by the wheel chalks?

Also, what catagory would I upload this under?
Big version: Width: 1024 Height: 768 File size: 493kb

Thanks in advance,
Matt

BTW, that is just the cropped and resized photo.

No... but it would have an easier time in the queue if you'd included the tail.

Probably Untitled, Single Engine Prop and Private, though I can't see everything.

This is a border line one in my opinion though it is a unusual crop though.

The chalks blocking the wheel is no problem. The same chalk being cut off and the (IMHO) rather unmotivated crop of half an airplane, however, may just condemn it to a motive death.

Hello Matt

Such crop will much like result in a motive rejection.

I personally don't mind the crop, but I think you'll find screeners less sympathetic. That said, I don't think the shot has much going for it anyway. I don't mean to be harsh, but it's a rather ordinary aircraft with ordinary lighting and an ordinary backdrop. Try this kind of thing from a lower angle, at sunset, with wet ground from passing showers and dark clouds behind - then you'd be onto something!

Oh and FWIW, we're not talking about...

...but chocks.

I had a hard time finding the sun that day - much less the sunset  Wink
