Motive And Level?

Thu Jul 05, 2007 6:45 am

Hi,

I need help with this two pictures:

Level

http://www.airliners.net/uf/view.fil...8993&filename=1183584430IVx1xe.jpg

This picture looks unlevel to me but when I check it with photoshop it is level. What do you think
about the picture?

Motive

I like this shot that is taken in Zürich but I'm not sure if the motive is allowed on A-Net.
What do you think?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Greetings

I had a rejection for motive the other day for a sideon shot of a Virgin 737...I appealed and was successful, perhaps you can appeal your shot?

The other one is maybe .1 or .2 off level...but its that minor that you'd need to use PS to see if its correct or not.

Klaus

Your A320 seems level to me. There are no reliable vertical references, but by checking on some small references I´d say it´s pretty level. If any rotation should be applied, I´d say give it a 0.1 CW rotation.
What, in my opinion, can be confusing is that the airplane is pitching up and also that the amount of elements on the left areas of the background make a contrast with the quite empty green areas to the right.
Appart from this, I´m afraid your pic is a bit dark. You might want to brighten it up a little before uploading.  yes

The other shot: I like the motive, it´s pretty nice. I would have liked a little more breathing space up and down maybe. How did you level this shot? There are no clear vertical references, but the aircraft is tilting a bit to the left, and that might affect your chances I believe. If you gave a bit CW to it I guess it would be better.  thumbsup
Also, be careful because some areas might be a bit overexposed.

Hope it helps. Big grin

Cheers

The light conditions were very unlucky at this day. I'm unsure if more brightness helps but I'll try  Smile

It was hard to level this picture because of the missing reference points. I used the grass and the wheels as reference.

Thanks a lot for your help!

He never said they were rejected.
I understand, Klaus, that you never uploaded these. Am I right?

Cheers  Smile

Hi Lanas,
