Meiringen And Payerne Info Request

Sun Jul 08, 2007 7:01 pm

I am gonna spend the next week in the Interlaken area. Time and girlfriend permitting  Smile I plan to do some photography at Meiringen and/or Payerne. Is there anyone who can help with info regarding flying times at those bases?

Thank you very much.

Hi Javier!

Don't know for spotting opportunities in that region but while you're there be sure to drive up to the small village of Grindelwald; it's one of the prettiest locations in the region and only about a 30min drive away from Interlaken.

Have fun!

Hi Javier,

Not sure about flying times but the photography is great at Payerne. When I was last there movements were still going on late into the evening.

Just take the road down to the museum and park up.

The runway is straight in front of you, no fences.

Regards

Hi Javier,

This might also be an interesting website for you (when visiting the area):

... and if your girlfriend wants to see something else, there are plenty of places to visit in that area. As Thierry already pointed out, Grindelwald is certainly worth visiting (and from there, you can also take the special train, which takes you to the highest railway station in Europe -> Jungfraujoch  Wink which gives you a breathtaking view on the Aletsch Glacier!).

Best regards,

Walter
