I live under a flight path to an airport, but I only get aircraft like these flying over doing circuits.

I can see the LH MD-11Fs and other stuff coming into EMA over my house most nights. Only when they are using 27 though. They are at 5000ft or so so pics are not really possible.

I visited a friend yesterday who lives in an elevated part of town, and I was pleasantly surprised to see SOU traffic very low indeed on the way into rwy 02. Wrong time of day for pictures but in the morning sun I'd definitely sit in the garden with a beer and shoot away...

Didn't think you were a morning drinker James, Big grin

I don't live near an airport anymore but I am right under the flight path of most of the trans Atlantic flight from Europe to the west and visa versa. You think with my 500/4 and 1Dn I get a few good shots but nope, still ahev to master that a bit.
Since we have had such wonderfull weather, NOT!!  banghead  still waiting for the clouds to clear and the sun to come out.

I was able to take these to shots today through my kitchen window  Wink

I heard something loud coming and grabbed my camera when this AWACS appeared  Wink Unfortunately I didn't had time to change any settings so it is not near the standards of this site but still I am happy to have it for my collection  Wink

Big version: Width: 1024 Height: 683 File size: 421kb

And than only a few minutes later this AN124 came in and I got some nice shot but still not perfect.. (Still experimenting on how I get some decent results with the new TC..)

Big version: Width: 1024 Height: 683 File size: 383kb

Both are not worth putting them in the queue, but anyway I somehow like and wanted to share them with you..

Cheers

I just took this yesterday afternoon.

An ultriglider. I always get to see some Cessnas and one or two times a piper cub.
