How To Improve The Quality?

Fri Aug 03, 2007 4:18 am

Hello all,

I have the following picture of a US 767-200 in the queue. Is the quality acceptable or how can I improve the shot ?

Many thanks for your feedback.

Not bad, might be a tad dark (due to the high sun). I would HQ it.

Cool photo, but I think it looks oversharpened/jagged and possibly heat haze all over the plane! I would never expect this to be accepted, but if Clickhappy would HQ it, go for it.

Thanks for the quick feedback guys !! I prefer Clickhappy's answer  Wink however I'll try to rework the shot as to erase the issues. Eventhough I can't really spot the oversharpened spots..

On a side note: Would a shot such as this one be accepted or rejected for obstruction ? (I don't talk about quality and other issues - just made a quick edit) http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/ready/HB-IQH.jpg

And how abou the quality of this shot ? http://www.airliners.net/addphotos/big/ready/HB-IQH_01.jpg

Thanks again for all your feedback.

Greetings from Belgium

US 767 is blurry and oversharpened.

No, don't think so.

Blurry and oversharpened, there is a dustspot above the front door.
Sorry.

I think that the first one would. The "10-28" runway sign is very distracting to me.

BTW: I just realised that i am on a different monitor! Kinda forgot somehome but how, I'm 9000 miles from home! Anyway, thats probably the reason why i saw oversharpened areas, sorry.

It´s borderline, but I don´t think it can make it. There are other issues as well.

In my opinion it´s heat-hazy, blurry and a bit oversharpened in some places. The blown out white areas are too intense, I´m afraid. They might kill its chances.

Hope it helps. Big grin

Thanks all for your comments !! I've pulled the two Swiss A330's from the queue.

Would someone be so kindly and point me the spots which are oversharpened/blurry/jagged etc.. on the US Airways shot ? I would like to save it !!

Thanks  Smile

The whole thing is oversharpened. Where the red line and blue belly meet the white parts, the leading edge of the tail, the main wheels, the stylised US flag on the tail, the cockpitwindows, the top of the fuselage... Does the original suffer from heat haze?
Perhaps you can post a full sized image, I can have a go at editing for you...
