Worth A 3rd Attempt?

Wed Aug 22, 2007 12:11 am

I have had this Harrier shot rejected twice now.

The first rejection was for soft.

Second rejection was for quality / contrast.

In the second edit I applied some more USM to the image, to bring the sharpness up on it.

I would appreciate some feedback as to what needs done to the original edit to make it acceptable for the database.

Regards

I can see grain and lots of jaggies on the second upload. You can maybe try to deal with them. However, I fear that the top of the harrier is overexposed and you might not be able to get the contrast just right. Shame, as it's a great shot!

Hi Mark

I think the original shot is slightly blurry. That might be the reason why it's quite hard to make it acceptable. The motion blurry or out of focus shot could result in either soft appearance, or jaggies (oversharpened).

If you like, you may send the original shot to me and I'd like to take a look.

Thanks Guys,

Hongyin - I'll send you a copy of the original later, when I have access to my main PC.
