http://www.fotothing.com/photos/e7c/e7c1e5a39f133e45c5e02ca023ae39f6_077.jpg

I was wondering if it would be accepted, whats your opinion about it.

Backlit is pretty obviously. Try to keep sun behind you which will make plane look much better

It's not backlit, it's frontlit, a backlit shot would have left the entire tail in shadow.
I've heard the "try to keep the sun behind" comment a lot and that is fine, but at MMX where I usually spot the runway is 17/35, so how am I supposed to keep the sun behind around 12 AM? Morning or afternoons it's easy... And I think this shot has the same problem, it's landing in the direction of the sun. And avoiding shooting at that time is not an option if there's a really nice bird coming, like once we had a AN-124 at 12AM.

Well, it's just that some shots were never meant to be. I have a sad list of good shots I missed because sun was in the wrong place.
BTW, keeping sun behind you at 12:00 AM is really hard (unless you are above polar circle) - 12:00AM is midnight  Smile

The shot was on 22 runway, and the sun from the front of the plane.

Hi Leon

The major problem of this shot is the contrast. I don't think this one could be accepted. Sorry! Take some shots when having the good sunlight.  Smile

Huh? Haven't heard of 12:00 with am or pm. You can only say midnight or noon. You can use am from 12:01am to 11:59am as well as pm from 12:01pm to 11:59pm. Can't use am or pm for 12:00. It is logic for time. Or use 24:00 hour to avoid am or pm if you like  Embarrassment
