Motiv Rejection

Mon Sep 10, 2007 4:57 am

I just had this rejected for motiv. The screener was nice enough to include a personal message saying "reflections." I am having trouble deciding what that means. Is there a window reflection I am not seeing, or is it the tip of the winglet? If it is the winglet, is it that distracting? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Matt.

I hope all is well with you.

To be honest I am struggling a bit here too. I certainly don't think there are any major reflections and I cannot believe it is anything to do with the winglet. My only guess is that the screener was commenting on that 'banding' in the sky - a bit like a polarising effect - that is caused by the window in planes. I find this to be a problem, depending on the direction of the light, when trying to photograph out of the cabin.

For me this isn't a fatal flaw in your shot, and nothing else is jumping out at me. I am now also intrigued to know what the issue was.

Take good care.

Paul
