Why is he asking ME for more photos, and not searching the database. If you got this email, what would you do?

Thanks for any help, Douglas

I'm guessing he would like close up detail shots of the helicopter - landing gear, markings, exhaust, cockpit, etc.

He may have sent the same request to other people with shots of the helicopter as well. The shots that get on A.net are generally no good for modelers as they need close-up, detail shots. About all they could do with a side-on shot is figure out how to make decals of the logo.

Ask them what exactly they're looking for. Unless you did walk-around pictures, you probably won't have what he's looking for. Here is a sample walk-around gallery off a popular modeling site. The quality isn't there, but it'll give you an idea what a modeler would need:

Although in a slightly different situation, I was asked for photos of an aircraft that I do have access to and was requested that I got some close ups for this person. I did so, and although they were not used for any commercial gain... this chap paid me for my efforts. He too was building a model.

Well, I told him I don't have any more photos, and that he should search the database. Big grin I don't expect him reply back.
