I at least have an excuse, I close my left eye because it's my bad eye (extremely blurry vision due to keratoconus, it's like looking at a blurred background of wide aperture image and it messes me up when shooting).

Suresh: you don't really need that 600mm f4 lens, you are pretty close to the action. Well then again this area is probably off limits during the launch.

Hi everyone!

I'm a newbie who only posts on MyAviation.net because I'm not sure if my photos are up to par...and I haven't learned my CS3 yet (I will be taking a class on it soon though). Perhaps someday one of you could help me with post-production so I can get one photo accepted to this site. Then I can die happy...hehe.

Vasco,

Well...I do.The second picture is from the "kill zone". Before tanking starts all non-essential people have to fall back to about 3.4 miles away. At launch time, that is my location. Even if I was allowed to stay,it would be a bit difficult to take any good pics  Wink . During the launch, this place is unsurvivable for all life forms because the sound, heat and resultant aerosol of hydrochloric acid are each at lethal levels.

Back row - Paul Seymour - (?) - Big Phil - Ray Lavington - Vince - (?) - (?) (Dave Chapman's YTS apprentice) - (?) - Little Tony - Tony Best (trying to look like an international playboy and failing) - (?) - and the finally (?). The chap in the Barbour I've met but sorry, the name escapes me!

Front row - (?) - Dennis Lau - Scottish Dave - David Eliasson - Dave Chapman - Keith with Lassie (or somebody's current or ex-girlfriend depending if you wish to be forward) and (?).

Strangely some of these LHR regulars are not heavy uploaders to anet. This said, some of these still use slide.
