Need Some Help.

Sat Dec 29, 2007 3:12 pm

Hey all,

I was wondering how this photo looks. I have had a very rough time lately. 8 out of my last 10 shots have been rejected for all sorts of quality related issues and I'm starting to get concerned. I feel like I'm blindsided every time so I have zero confidence right now. Does it look ok? I can't tell anymore even for a relative easy side-on taxi shot.

Also, this is my latest rejection. Rejected for blurry, a problem I have had a lot lately...   Valid rejection? I'm having a hard time seeing it.

Thanks!

Hello Ryan,

your first picture is a tricky one... While the titles look soft to me, the part around the engine and the wing seems to be oversharpened and jagged. The grey bottom of the belly is grainy...

Your second one is very nice, but I have to agree with the screener, the "Express Jet" titles and especially the windows are blurry, sorry, I don't think you can save it. Beautiful backdrop though, I'd love to take some pictures at this spot!  Smile

Hope this helps,
Florian  wave

Damn, what the heck?! Where is everyone finding these issues? Especially grain! Could I have an equipment problem? I do wear glasses...time for a new prescription?? I didn't do anything to the photo besides crop, adjust levels (slightly) and sharpening and the photo was taken at ISO 100. Where am I all of a sudden developing grain??

Florian, thanks for your input. If I appear upset, it's not with you for pointing the problems out. I'm just baffled again...lol. Something just isn't right...

Anyone else have anything to add?

The 767 look like needs some CW rotation. I don't see grain, however I'm getting a few grainy rejections myself lately.

The ExpressJet rejection is correct. Have a look at the titles for example.
