Hi,
You seem to be new around here so I will be gentle!  Wink

Click on Photos tab at top of this page, then select photo search engine.
Scoll down through Aircraft type until you find Antonov-AN-24/26 then search,
You will find several thousand photos of this aircraft, browsing thru those photos you will gain some idea of where you might see one.
A hint, you may have to leave North America

Cheers
If your camera sends text messages, that could explain why your photos are rubbish!

The An-124 is a semi-regular visitor to BDL.

Florian, it's obviously not obvious to all.

The only place I can think of in the States is Opa Locka, and possibly Miami. There were a few knocking about in southern Florida a few years back.

Europe is your best bet - East Midlands is one of my locals and they have three based An-26s (RAF Avia).

What's not? I'm not sure whether he's having a laugh or just a kid.

If you're looking for the An-124, btw, it's been making a semi-regular run CHS-PHL-YQX most Sundays. It's on a military charter and apparently gets a good deal on gas at PHL.

You're kidding me. What other things happen at EMA? I should get up there!

Not a lot. The An-26s don't move much - if you're lucky you'll get a couple on the ground at the maintenance area, but you do need ladders. Most of the time they seem to be out performing their duties, but I have seen them take-off/land.

At the minute I think there are two RAF Avia An-26s based (YL-RAA & 'RAE) and also an all-white Budapest Aviation Services An-24 (HA-TCY?).

Summer evenings are best, when from 7pm you get a massive influx of cargo traffic. In mid-June you can have a good couple of hours with the sun at your back. The constant procession usually features the following aircraft:

Lufthansa Cargo MD-11 (x2), Evergreen 742F, DHL 752F (x2), DHL A300 (x2), TNT A300, TNT 733QC, Atlantic ATP, Star Air 762F (x2), UPS 763F, Jet2/Channex 733QC.

An-124s are also regular visitors, and less so the An-225 and An-22, however they don't move every day so catching them is difficult. If you want the Kalitta 74F, it's due every Saturday at 13:40.

Hi Iran,

I know that it’s a long way to Czech Republic but one grounded however nicely restored AN-24 can be found in Kbely aviation museum here in Prague. I am not sure if it is possible to see her fly unfortunately.

Some other ANs can be seen at PRG/LKPR irregularly as AN-12s, AN-26s, AN-124s and AN-225 very rarely.

You can check the following link to see which planes are expected to PRG/LKPR in addition to the regular timetable (list is updated frequently).

Pavel

Leipzig, a small airport south of Berlin, Germany will see lot's of those "out of the ordinary" birds since DHL moved their European Hub from BRU to LEJ.
