Rejection Clarification

I got a rejection on this photo:

Big version: Width: 1024 Height: 683 File size: 502kb

Blurry and Double. The double really baffles me. I appealed and got re-rejected for Blurry and Double.

I can accept the Blurry rejection. I'm not the best at panning shots. The database has a whole 47 DHL DC-9. 95% of those are either landing, taxiing, or stationary.

Can some one explain the Double? I have 1 shot in the database of N966AX. It is a side on sunny shot as it taxied by. In fact here it is:

The shots were taken on different days. One shot is a taxi to the south and the rejected "Double" is a take off to the north.

DHL sends a DC-9 to BFI almost everyday. Does this mean I can no longer upload side on shots of this airplane?

That makes no sense to me, the blurry is understandable, but Double? I guess I need to read the upload guidelines again, as it says a Double is a shot taken in a similar sequence on the same day with the same motiv (taxi, land, takeoff, etc.). And both shots are from different dates, diferent shooting sequences, and on different motives.

Very strange, maybe a screener can elaborate.
Lighten up while you still can, don't even try to understand, just find a place to make your stand and take it easy

yeah, I agree. I can't understand why double was given as a rejection reason. Same plane, but different days and different stages of operation. I can understand someone trying to get 3 or 4 of the same aircraft accepted with the same conditions, but 2?

Hi Erick,

Unfortunately, I think the problem is that you indicated for the date on both only same month/year (no specific day). You probably have your reasons for doing so, which is OK, but as screeners we have to consider the possibility that the pictures were taken on the same day (unless of course it is very evident from the pictures that they were taken on different days, like one sunny and one overcast). To my eye they both look like they could have been taken on same day, and in absence of any other information (which I think you didn't provide, either in the remark or the comment fields), and considering they both show the aircraft from a very similar angle, they qualify as a double.
Please put yourself in our shoes: How can we know they weren't taken on the same day?
As long as you have to upload without exact date, you'll probably face the same problem in case you're uploading pictures of same aircraft/airport/side. In any case, I suggest next time this happens you put a comment to screeners in this respect.

Thank you for your reply. I agree with you about why I initially received the double rejection. In fact the original rejection does not bother me. I put myself in the screeners shoes all the time.

What stirs me up is the fact that the appeal was also given a double rejection. I fully explained that the shots where on different days. I even gave a full explanation to such, not just a "trust me". When the appeal received the double rejection I felt one of two things. First, it makes me feel the appeal was not given a fair chance and just rubber stamped. I'm not saying this is what happened. You have to put yourself in my shoes and see how that looks after I provided a full explanation. Second, it makes me feel like I am being called a liar. Like i'm trying to pull a fast one on the screeners.
