Tell Me What You Think, Please.

Fri Feb 08, 2008 7:57 am

I took this photo over the Super Bowl weekend and I am curious what you all think before I upload it.

Big version: Width: 1024 Height: 660 File size: 601kb

Hello Joe,

First of all it is not level, needs some CCW Rotation.. and it is way to oversharpen!
I would not upload it in this version as it would surely get rejected!

Hope this helps!
Cheers

I wouldn't say its way oversharpened, but looks to have been processed in a weird way.

So just out of curousity what would level be measured off of? The runway in the background or the cracks in the foreground. or something else.

The runway in the background or the cracks in the foreground. or something else.

..or a flat roof/vertical wall in the background. Something in the middle of the image is going to be less affected by any optical distortion due to viewing angle or lens focal length - assuming that the image hasn't been cropped off-centre.

I wouldn't necessarily use the cracks in the foreground because there's not always going to be one that's parallel/perpendicular to the line of sight to the centre of the image. Checking the horizontal tar lines on the photo, there are some that are horizontal and some that are rotated cw slightly.....
