Some (More!) Pre-screening Requested!

Mon Feb 11, 2008 10:08 pm

Hi all,

I finally found some time to edit these. I have no experience in getting shots like these accepted... Some feedback will be most appreciated!

BTW, for info I've tagged military and preserved on both, and nose on the second one. Is that correct?

Thanks again for all the help!

Tony

PS Walter, I hope you like the tighter crop on the KC-135A!

Both look good to me. Maybe a VERY small amount of sharpening. I don't see anything else.

Hi Tony,

The first one looks like it would benefit from some CCW and some sharpening, and the second is a tad too bright and could also use a bit more sharpening.

Hope it helps  Smile .

Do you mean that, because they are not shot through a window, Tony?  Smile

Sure, Tony! I also liked them when the crop was not so tight, but now it more as A.net wants them. I agree with the others that they could use some selective sharpening (but I am not the right person to tell you this, because my rejection list is full with "under-sharp" shots  Smile...

Good luck, Tony!

You shouldn't tick NOSE because that's only for airliners.

Hi guys, thanks very much for the feedback!

Quoting Acontador (Reply 2):

Yeah, I was not quite sure got to level it. Could you give me an idea of what to use as a guide for leveling?

Quoting Walter2222 (Reply 3):

Smile Hey, not all my pictures were shot through a window! Just the majority.  Smile

Quoting Walter2222 (Reply 3):
but now it more as A.net wants them.

I also think so too.

Oh, is that right? Thanks for bringing this up. I'll read the rules for carefully when I re-upload.

OK, I get the idea!  Smile I'll try to resharpen and resubmit. It's just that I was battling jaggies all the way...

What I'd try is treat as horizontal the path or long shadow below the green nosewheel door in the background.

Oh, and I'd add a little bit more sharpening Wink

Hi Tony,

Well, this is a wide angle shot (I suspect), so you would expect both edges to 'lean' towards the center. I cannot see any clear and big enough reference in the center of the picture, but by looking at the edges it seems to me that the left one is leaning much more then the right one, thus some CCW would correct it. I think you're going to have to rotate until it 'feels' right, that is both edges leaning roughly same angle.

Yep.

OK, this is useful feedback. I'll try.

Yes, we'll see whether what "feels right" to me matches what "feels right" to you.

Walter, you see whyI like window shots? There's usually a horizon that's very helpful when levelling.

Oh, really?
