Sat Mar 01, 2008 11:27 am

Hi,

this one has been rejected as dirty.

I can't find the dustspot. Can you help me?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know. It is also in the original picture. Seems to be a shadow.
Do you think I should appeal?

Can see dirty spot above plane (straight above "A" - TAROM)

With equalize - can see 4 spots on upper left corner

dust spots are tought job to do with lens and camera - can be frustrated to most photographers included myself

I'd appeal also,I can't see any dust spots at all.

I queried this shot recently and was told I was seeing things when I mentioned the dust spots. If you want to see what I mean equalise this image.....

If your image is classed as dirty this one is positively filthy, but then again it does belong to a screener!

Why bad form? Perfectly reasonable to compare in my opinion, thats what the forum is for is it not?. I queried this with the photographer concerned, even pointing out the dust spots,I'm fully aware of Tim's status but come on these are blatant!

3 screeners passed the pic and I'm just slightly concerned as to how and why?

You are right in that there's a few dust spots (I can count at least three) but you won't really change anyone's opinion going about this way.

Besides, they are nearly invisible without an equalize and they don't exactly detract from the shot... *shrug*

Trust me, I feel your pain. We all notice these things from time to time. However, calling a photographer out in a public forum is generally frowned upon here and you wont get much support doing so.

But in all fairness, if a shot is rejected for barely visible dust spots, then no shot should be acceptable with barely visible dust spot whether they detract from the shot or not.
