What Do You Think?

Fri Mar 07, 2008 4:47 pm

Hi everyone

As I am unfamiliar with the rejection on Airliners.net, I would like you to tell me if these shots could be uploaded.

1. http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/1879/80165961cy9.jpg
2. http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/4787/17875997ij7.jpg
3. http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/2241/19531973jk3.jpg

If they are not good, what should I do (except taking better ones) ?
Thanks

Hello,

1) oversharpen, contrast, dark
2) dark, oversharpen
3) oversharpen, contrast, quality

They are all way to oversharpen!

Hope this helps!

Thank you Othic and Björn.
I tried to touch up pictures 1 and 2, but I'm not convinced :

Hello Alexandre,

first of all I would suggest you start uploading pictures at a size of 1024px in the beginning, as it is easier to get them accepted at the smaller size.
The main problem you have with both pictures is, that they are taken backlit resulting in a quite dark fuselage.

1b: the problem with the contrast in your first picture was not too much contrast, it had a little too less (looked a little flat) which now got worse and it is still oversharpened (especially visible at the flaps of the left wing). The fuselage still looks dark as a result of the photo being backlit, while the white at the nose is blown out and therefor would get a overexposed rejection.

2b: is also still way to oversharpened (for example left wing, reg,...) and as said to dark because of being backlit. It also could use a little more contrast in my opinion.

I think it will be very hard to get the photos onto anet if not impossible for the backlit reason. Try to get some shots with the fuselage well illuminated, it makes it a lot easier  Wink

Hope this helps!

Cheers
Björn

Hello Björn,

I took those pictures at the end of the day, moreover the weather was a little foggy.
The only thing I should do is taking new ones in better lightning conditions. I thought that image editing would be sufficient.

Thank you very much for your advice !
Alex
