Which Way. CW, CCW Or Appeal?

Wed Aug 27, 2008 12:24 pm

This photo has been rejected twice for level. In the first upload, I used the pilars under the helipad as vertical reference points to level the shot. It was rejected. I could not disagree with the Screener as the Manhattan skyline was leaning to the left.

In my second attempt (link below) I used the natural horizon and the Manhattan skyline as reference points. The skyline looks level. The surface/deck of the helipad looks uneven no matter how the shot is leveled. I guess that is how it was built. Any inputs will be appreciated. I have not appealed the shot.

second that. skyline still looks unlevel, as does the helipad.

Give it .25 deg CCW and should be fine. Might want to crop a bit tighter too - I know you're trying to make the helipad the subject of the photo but there seems to be a lot of dead space.

Good luck with it!

On this here screen - admittedly not one I'd ever use for editing - it also looks a tad yellow, and the lines on the helicopter & pad are a bit jagged?

Need CCW slightly - I can see the skyline is leaning to right a little.
There is too space on upper right sky - try to crop to reduce sky space

With suggestion - photo will be excellent when you wait for sun to go beside or behind you and see colourful skyline

Hope it helps!

Yes, agree. If possible, please get rid of the yellow cast. I did a quick adjust.
