Is A.net Considered Commerical Use Of Pictures

Fri Oct 24, 2008 11:28 pm

tomorrow i will be attending wings over Houston and according to the website photos are not allowed for commercial use. i was wondering if that airliners.net was considered a commercial source and if photos from airshows can be edited and posted on A.net

55mm? Useless for photos in cramped cockpits. For those, something like these wide-angle lenses:

AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED
AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED

(I'm assuming you have DX format and not FX format Nikon).

What about photographs 'For Personal Use' only?

I have encountered several aircraft collections which specify that photography is welcome but the photographs taken must be for personal use only. Whilst sharing them on A.Net or any other web based photography site makes me no money, it certainly can be argued that A.Net is a commercial entity and therefore photos posted here are a long way from meeting that 'personal usage' criteria.

Yes, it will do the job. But it is better for cameras.
Nikon D700, Nikkor 80-400, Fuji X Pro 1, Fujinon 35 f/1.4, Fujinon 18 f/2
