I'm using the Canon EF100-400 lens for more than 2 years now and while I have been satisfied with almost all results for quite a long time, I recently found many pictures that do not really satisfy me anymore.
The overall quality of the pictures seems to be lower although I am sure that I did not change the camera settings or so. The colours look somehow flat and many pictures are not that crisp sharp they used to be. There are also many which are sharp on one side and become softer to the other side.
I tried to change the settings but I didn't notice any difference, so could it be that the lens just became old? I have used it quite often and beside the quality and sharpness issues there is also a problem with the arresting mechanism.
Has anybody else here similar problems?
