Spotting At VCV

Sat Mar 07, 2009 12:03 am

Does anybody know any locations to see planes stored/takeoff/land at VCV. Any information and links are much appreciated.

Cheers,
Koryo

It's a tough boneyard to shoot at. Most aircraft are in bad positions. I was there a month ago and just got lucky with a FE 727 parked in a good spot that I needed my step ladder to get. Also a nice tristar as well. For the most part is catchers catch can. Bring a step ladder and see if you can get lucky but for the most part you have to drive around and make your own luck.

Thanks, is there anyway to get under the approach path, there has been a Northwest B742 that has been doing at least 2x weekly troop charter to Washington State that I would like to get.

Here is the track:

Never really tried it but your best bet would be if they landed 3 or 35. I have never tried to shoot anything moving there so I haven't paid much attention to the actives. Give it a shot.
