Editing Skills Practice

Wed Mar 11, 2009 6:49 pm

Hello
I am trying to work on my editing a bit at the moment and have been picking out the best (if you can call them that) of my pictures and doing some work on them.

They are not for submitting yet i just want to try and figure where I am going wrong or right, Anyway here is the picture i have been working on

Big version: Width: 1024 Height: 684 File size: 437kb

Any advice on how I can do things better will be really appreciated.

Regards Nick

Looks really nice actually, though you should crop it a little tighter, too much dead space around the picture at the moment.

Other than that, i think its fine.

Nitin

PS: have you used the shadow/highlight tool?

Hi Nitin thanks for that, I didnt use the shadow/highlight it was shot while there was snow on the ground hence why the underneath is lit so nicely.... I think!!

I will give it a tighter crop and see what happens i didnt want to lose the vortices and then i thought it might look odd with sky below but not above!

I dont think you will loose the vortices totally if you crop it tighter.
