SXM Trip

Wed Mar 18, 2009 2:31 pm

Hi folks!

I'm planning my trip to SXM and would like to ask your advise on hotels close to rwy threshold and any other useful info you can share.

For the moment I look for Sonesta Maho Beach - is it best location to see the airport and landings?

Many thanks in advance!

Fyodor,

The main hotel there is the Sonesta Maho Beach. They even offer you a choice of booking a room that faces the beach. An example of a shot from such a room:

The other hotel there is the Royal Islander Club which is right next to the Sonesta maho Beach hotel.

Thanks mate! I just made a booking there. Up rooms are a bit expemcive but they told they have certain place for spotting as well. RIC seems like for members only.

Btw - I got a letter from you but cant find it now. Seems it was a bug with the mail system. Could you pls send it again?

There is another question - is it any real border between Dutch and French sides? Can I travel there with visa only for Dutch side? Could you belive - I have 5 years long Schengen visa, but for Antiles seems I have to apply for two new!

Regards,

Fyodor

Hi Fyodor, check your private message here in the forum. I guess something screwed up with the email.
